Please Recommend a Woman Who Has Empowered Other Women

“Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.”

– Margaret Cousins

Margaret Cousins was a poet & writer who established the All India Women’s Conference. She networked women and reminded the world to appreciate life, in order to transform lives – a fine example of a Make It Better woman!

Make It Better media is looking for more examples of women whose outstanding work has empowered girls or other women.

  1. Marissa Mayer comes to mind first I think…37 year-old Yahoo! CEO and President and former Google exec. Not only shattered glass ceiling, but she’s 37 – making her the youngest Fortune 500 CEO in history. Also a devoted mother and mother of a newborn baby boy. Forbes ranked her as the 14th most powerful woman in the world in 2012.

  2. Maybe this is too obvious, but I think Vandana Shiva is an absolute powerhouse. She has lifted the consciousness of so many, brought to light shocking injustice and is working tirelessly to change the world for the better.
