Kathy Roeser’s gutsy moves hustle over $200,000 for breast cancer research while she dances with stars.
Kathy Roeser’s a true Make It Better woman. She does it all – great kids, great job, great friends, monthly WGN television reporting gig – and still finds the time and courage to Dance With The Stars in order to raise money for breast cancer research.
The Winnetka mother of two teenage sons and successful Morgan Stanley wealth advisor, competed last night in the Arthur Murray Dancing With Chicago Celebrities 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Her fancy moves raised over $200,000 to benefit a breast cancer vaccine research project at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Roeser faced formidable competition too. She and her Arthur Murray dance partner Kelly Palmiter competed with the likes of Miss Illinois Megan Ervin, Chicago Bear Anthony Adams and celebrities from at least three local news channels.
Roeser says, “It was a lot of work perfecting our “hussle” dance (as well as nerve racking). But worth it! We raised a lot of money for an important cause and had a great time doing it.”
